Energy
We love energy. When we’re involved in energy projects, we get to work on the heart of our mission: community building.
Energy is what binds us together. It’s a phone notification. It’s coffee. It’s smart classrooms and resilient school programs. It’s a job opportunity. It’s an important community meeting. It’s a family get together. It’s date night.
Energy is our past, and energy is our future.
And the future is bright. Very bright.
Our expertise covers every major sector of energy production. We are globally connected and serve as an integral part of our world’s energy transition—the shift towards low-impact, highly renewable energy sources.
There are 4 major trends in energy transition:
DECARBONIZATION is the movement being adopted by both the public and private sector to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. This part of the transition focuses on identifying energy production and use that contributes directly to climate change.
DECENTRALIZATION is the strategy of creating smaller amounts of energy, nearby where it will be used. This increases efficiency and reduces waste.
DEMOCRATIZATION is the emergence of consumer demand for choice in energy consumption—both in energy type and, increasingly, user control.
DIGITALIZATION is the leveraging of control technologies that give us the power to manage supply and demand in ways that optimize efficiency across the grid.
Each of these trends is giving us the ability to rethink the relationship between our communities and the earth, influencing every level or our decision making, from the personal choices we make at home to the policies governing our regions and nations.
We are proud to be working with experts, both internally and externally, to help build “whole energy” solutions—ones which prioritize the balance of current energy producing and consuming assets with new, innovative technologies and options that will provide both an immediate positive impact and a platform for medium-term transformation.
Our vision is a global community that is Decarbonized, Decentralized, Democratized, and Digitalized.
Asset and Impact Management
When our clients need help optimizing their plant’s energy production, we ensure they find the solutions which support the underlying investment strategy and the health of their assets.
Asset management
Our experience as a multidisciplinary engineering company allows us to address the whole life cycle of energy production sites. From infrastructure and design, to refurbishment, expansion and technical updates, we can provide the assurance that your operations continue to deliver value.
Impact management
Part of our due diligence expertise includes environmental impact assessment, which gives the client not only the technical confidence that their program complies with appropriate environmental regulations, but also the assurance that risks and liabilities to their surrounding communities, and the ecology of their local environments, are fully recognized and addressed.
Renewable Energy
When people talk about our work, they often talk about renewable energy.
We are proud to offer our clients an admirable track record of solar, wind and thermal projects in nearly every major region of the world. Our work is actively ensuring a clean future for our communities, providing everyone with energy solutions that are both dependable and sustainable.
The world is investing in renewables. As governments and people realize the urgency of climate change, and as new, cost-efficient technologies and solutions emerge and mature with ever increasing speed, everyone—investors and financiers, included—has an eye on renewable energy.
Our portfolio of work covers the most sought-after forms of renewables: those delivered by wind turbines, solar farms, biofuels and even by harnessing geothermal energy, the power generated by the systems beneath our very feet.
We work with interested parties of every type across the public and private sectors to realize projects across every sector. We provide the engineering, the due diligence, and compliance to ensure that every project is not only secure from an operational perspective, but also in terms of its tangential impact.
As an important part of the renewable energy agenda, we are also proud to remember that our clients’ projects are also impactful on local communities, providing jobs and economic and social development in emerging economies. We work with our clients and their operators to build the necessary skills for plant management. This means creating an understanding not only of the value of their work and the impact of the machines, but also the value the machines have in building a strong local economy and secure communities.
We can help realize the following sites:
- Solar Photovoltaics (PV)
- Onshore wind
- Thermal solar/concentrated solar power (CSP)
- Floating Solar
- Offshore wind
- Floating wind
- Wave/tidal/marine
- Hybrid renewables

- Energy from waste
Thermal Generation
Thermal energy comes in many forms, but in many ways it is the most promising, supply-secure, and adaptable form of renewable energy.
We’re actively working with clients, both old and new, not only to realize new thermal plants but also to upgrade and optimize older technologies.
Traditionally, natural gas boilers were the benchmark for thermal energy generation. More recently, a slew of new technologies has emerged—such as carbon capture usage and storage (CCUS), gas plasma, geothermal, biomass and biofuels, and combined heat and power—that are beginning to challenge the supremacy of natural gas.
We can help natural gas operators improve the efficiency of their operations, while also providing options to adapt towards models that focus more on renewables. Our capabilities include every form of thermal generation, with a strong focus on Geothermal, in which we form part of one of the world’s leading consultancies.

Nuclear
We are working to ensure that safe and clean nuclear energy has a clear future.
We can help our clients navigate and respond to the complex regulatory requirements associated with this field, while also creating custom solutions to optimize every opportunity.
Our goals are not only the safety and security of our clients, but also for the communities living around and working in nuclear facilities. It is our goal to ensure every party is informed to the processes that make this unique form of energy safe and accessible, remaining available at every stage in project, design, delivery and operations to ensure that the outcomes are acceptable to everyone involved.
In addition to new projects, we can respond to questions regarding:
- Decommissioning
- Nuclear waste
- Reprocessing

Transmission & Distribution
How energy is delivered after production can be just as important as how we generate it.
Our experience building energy generation plants has given us great insight into what comes next. Energy distribution systems, old and new, provide the opportunity to implement new, cost effective technologies, both digital and structural, that can improve grid sustainability and efficiency, supporting our clients’ needs to maximize new investments and optimize older ones.
We are particularly aware of the added costs associated with incorporating new renewable energy production into existing infrastructure.
